And behold...his heart was softened :)

Wow, it is the most incredible feeling to experience DSL without having to wait forever. A big thanks goes out to everyone who commented and prayed for our behalf :) (I hope that's not being too sacriligious). But the prayers worked! And this is my first post on our brand new, fast, computer!!!! WAHOO!!!! Hopefully I'll now be inspired to keep my blog more up to date--we just need to figure out how to transfer all our wanted programs to the new one. Ryan and I are both kind of not so genius in that department :) (That could very well be the most awkward sentence I've ever written).

Go Cougars!!!

So we took a chance over the weekend and brought our two young kids to a BYU football game and it was....drum roll please...actually not as bad as I was anticipating. Tyler even took a little nap through part of it and Elli was just having too much fun repeating what daddy had to say--
GO GO GO, Tackle (which was a new word) Him!!!, get him get him!!!, Wahoo!!!, AWWW Come on!!!!, etc.. She really loved the football atmosphere and even paid more attention to the game than I thought she would. I'm sure the junk food added to her love of the game. But it was enough to wear both of them out and we had them in bed before 7 pm--which is a record time!!!

I have to give props to Emily for the kids' shirts--"My daddy calls the Utes bad words!!!"--Thanks Em!!

By George I think he's got it....

And so it begins--ready or not, here comes TYLER!! Cousin Owen was a perfect example for Tyler, being just 3 weeks older, because he was already standing and started walking when they were here visiting. Well as soon as they left, Tyler decided he could push himself up to a standing position, and then a week later, the first steps came. This video depicts it pretty well, he's obsessed with a ball and that's how official walking started for him...bounce, steps, pick up ball, bounce, steps, pick up ball... Let's just hope that's a sign of some athletic genes :)

I have to admit that I'm beyond frustrated with our slower than molasses computer, so that's all I'm gonna post today, since I've already been sitting here for an hour, only to post this tiny little snippit (is that a real word?). Can I request that everyone pray to soften my husbands heart for a new computer so that I might be able to update posts more often? :)

Fun with Grammy and Pappa

We have had such a great time with family these last few weeks--pics are completely out of order, but all fun nonetheless.

Lunch with Grandpa Mortensen!!
Trying to get a pic with Elli and Wyatt and Pappa--semi successful.
By the end of their trip Tyler finally starts to warm up to everyone--the little stinker.
We had breakfast with Grammy and Pappa just before they left and here are the ominous clouds in the background coming to greet us!!!
Tyler is actually smiling in this one :)

We had a fun day at the lake with Dave and Leisha's new boat. Thanks for the fun times!!!
Yeah, yeah, yeah...I get enough flack from family about Tyler's pretty hat--hopefully soon I'll get around to buying some boy hats.
After seeing mom get dumped off the tube, Elina refused to have anything more to do with the boat. So she had lunch with Grammy on the beach.
Cousin Owen absolutely loved the lake and yummy sand :)
Taking a bath with cousin Owen
Here are our two little buddies: Owen and Tyler
