My mid year resolution
So I've made a new goal. I don't know if it is inspired by the fact that subconciously I know I'm turning 30 this summer and need something big--something big to work toward to prove that I'm still young :) but I have decided to train for a half marathon. I've had some friends that have completed one and they have totally inspired me. So now that I'm making it an official public declaration--I have something to prove, to myself. So the countdown begins: half marathon in August.....wish me luck.

A couponing accomplishment
So I just had to mention my grocery shopping experience today. Ryan came home in the afternoon which gave me the probably two hours almost I needed to go to the grocery store today. I came home having spent $33 in my last transaction and saving $130!!! Sounds like a pretty good deal right? I just had to share my good news :) I even tried to get a pic of the receipt as proof, but my point and shoot just couldn't focus. Nevertheless, complete satisfaction!!! And even better---I've run into my good friend Brooke while doing my couponing runs--and she shares my excitement over the whole thing!!
Elina's last day of preschool
So just as soon as preschool began for her I was ready to be done :) I had a hard time getting into any kind of a routine when for the first 3 weeks she only went once a week because of my ski day, easter break, and a sick day. By that point I was just ready to be done...so I felt dumb telling her teacher that I wasn't bringing her anymore. But for the last day we got to go to Everybody's Barn where they got to see the talking ponies--and other tricks.
This is pony arrow.
Tyler of course was more interested in the dog and the riding lawn mower--but to his credit we were all the way in the back where he couldn't really see and I had to take him out of the barn everyone was in because my allergies were going wacko.
This is pony bow.
I know Elina's had fun doing something else than being with mom, but I just figured instead of talking her to a mock graduation (and paying for it) she should go to a full year of preschool where she'll actually earn the status :) She's excited to go though--so we'll look forward to the fall.

Elina's bike ride
So now that the weather has been so wonderful Elina is always wanting to go for a bike ride. The only problem is that she's terrified of hills and from our house to the nice trail is all downhill. So she refuses to ride by herself, and I have to hold her bike until we get to the trail. Here you can see she's gaining experience. The coming home part--going up the hill, is also a disaster, but hopefully that will come with time :)
Soccer anyone?
So here's our little athlete. I have to say he's getting quite coordinated with that right foot. I posted so many different things (like Tyler's dribbling, spiking) that who knows where his real interest will lie. One thing we know for sure---he's gonna be a baller :)

EASTER
Wheeler Farm Easter Carnival
Pre Easter festivities
What a great idea to get together with cousins and family to actually paint easter eggs. This was Elina's first experience with painting (that I know of) and she really loved it. Maybe I should be more brave with her as far as this artistic side goes :) You can see that she totally enjoys making herself at home in Cressida's dress up clothes. Tyler was doing his usual nap--thank goodness!!
