Spring Soccer

Soccer---my first experience ever. Needless to say I was unprepared...for the weather :) Elina's first game was horrible, it was so cold and she was so underdressed that she refused to play. The next week was the same story, except we got her in as goalie--which is somewhat enjoyed. Then I offered her a reward of ice cream if she would just play and try to score a goal...so what did she do? She went out and scored the only four goals of the whole game for our team!!! which was in fact the first four goals of the entire season for our team :) All she had to do was decide to play and she proved she's a good little player. Tyler even got a chance to play in the last three games as a sub--and he scored two goals his first game--a three and a half yr old vs. 5 year olds!! Way to go bud!!! He definitely has natural athletic ability and it will be fun to see him develop it. The only bad part about them playing together is that Elli turned it into a competition and was sad the day Ty scored more goals than she did...so maybe that won't happen again--them playing on the same team that is. :)
